Jeff's practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions in which he assists clients on a local and national basis in a wide array of development, lending, leasing and construction matters. Jeff represents developers in connection with site acquisition, due diligence, subdivision and platting, zoning and entitlement, financing, and closing, as well as the construction of improvements, leasing, management and asset disposition. Mr. Libby has represented institutional lenders on a national basis in connection with their commercial mortgage loan transactions. Jeff also represents landlords and tenants in lease negotiations, as well as counseling owners and contractors on construction matters.
Jeff was born in Washington, D.C. in 1967 and grew up in Dallas. He graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.B.A in Real Estate and a B.A. in Philosophy in 1990. After working as a commercial tenant representative for two years, Mr. Libby returned to his alma mater to attend law school and received his J.D. from SMU in 1995. Jeff is a licensed real estate broker with the Texas Real Estate Commission and is also affiliated with the International Council of Shopping Centers, Texas Bar Association, and The Real Estate Council. Mr. Libby is a 1986 graduate of Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas where he remains an active volunteer and oversees its Adopt-A-Family Program, which he founded in 1992. Jeff is married and has three children.
